Road /Street accident has become a common and fatal event in our country: means the collision of vehicles on the street causing a great loss of wealth and lives. Street accidents are very often found on the busy streets of the towns and sometimes on the highways. The sorrowful incidents of crashing vehicles one over another 1s mainly caused by reckless driving. Secondly, the roads and streets of the most of our towns and cities are narrow. Besides, they take irregular turns towards every direction. Again, drivers always seek scopes to overtake each other even where it is unnecessary or unsafe. Most of the drivers do not have any proper training or valid driving license. Their deficiency and indifference contribute to the loss of our lives and assets by street accidents. Defective and out of date vehicles playing on the roads increase street accidents. Moreover, our roads are very defective and full of ditches. Every year severe floods occure, which cause irrepairable harms to our roads and transport systems. It is pathetic that everyday a good number of people become victims of street accident. In all the cases, the victims are seriously injured and very often, they face premature death. Sometimes street accidents cause loss or damage to our valuable goods when a cargo or a transport vehicle is crashed. Sometimes there occurs so severe street accidents in our country that becomes the lead news of the national dailies. To control street accident the strict rules should be imposed against reckless driving. Government and other non-government organizations like "Nirand Sorok Chai" should work to solve the problem.
